The Legends of Zephyr Boy : Invention of SKATEBOARDS

If you had watched the film Lords of Dog Town , you probably known name such as Jay Adam, Stacy Peralta, Tony Alva, Skip Engblom and many more. Until todays, speaking of skateboarding sports, people would talk about Shaun White, Tony Hawk, Bam Margera, Bob Burnquist and many more.

At beginning of Skateboard history, these 3 peoples who actually bring up the name of the sports to be well known to the whole of the globe. Jay Adam, Stacy Peralta, and Tony Alva began as the surf team in Santa Monica. The boy name themselves as The Zephyr Boys ( The Z Boys) pioneered by some of their friend name Skip Engblom who support them with the sporting equipment. Skateboard is the evolution of the surf board being attach with small wheel and become a new invention called the Fish Board.

Usually, the Z Boys was well known with their own attitude problem, breaking into other house and skateboarding in the empty pool which they name it as “Dogbowl”.

With the partnership of Skip Engblom, The Z boys won many championships besides him. Number of endorsement being given to them and they become much popular than the president of USA himself. Among the crew members, the most successful name was Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta. Both of them enjoy won every championship with the team as Jay Adam was left behind with his parenthood problem.

The heyday of The Z Boys ended when Skip Engblom depart with the group after they become too hard to control. With billions of endorsement given to them, the group finally parted as Stacy Peralta and Tony Alva goes for their own path in Skateboards.

The three of them is considered one of the most influential skateboarders of all time. Until today, Jay Adam live as a living legend with a normal life, while Alva open up a company and Peralta become film producer.
